The hatchet from German MHG is of high quality and can be used for many tasks. It can, for example, be used both for half-timbering and timer framing, as it is possible to replace the handle with a hammer with a longer shaft. Thus, you get a multifunctional piece of tool with this hatchet. 

The hatchet is delivered with the handle loosely inserted into the socket. A conical joint between the blade and the handle is designed so that blur is completely avoided.

Note that longer handles can be purchased and it is easy to switch between different handles
