Shellac flakes from La Doratra 500g - for polishing and polishing

Shellac in flakes. 

Used for the production of shellac.

The shellac flakes are dissolved in alcohol and the finished shellac can be used for a wide range of tasks within restoration and painting, e.g. as a lacquer, or as a polish in shellac-polished furniture, or as part of the gilding process.

This shellac is light golden (Shellac comes in several shades depending on both the trees they come from and how the shellac is cleaned).

Shellac is extracted from resinous trees in East Asia, using scale insects. The lice are filtered off and the shellac is dried/baked into flakes.
